  9. This software helps you to remember, type, and easy manage your 
  10. growing list of passwords and access codes.
  11. The program can fill out login forms automatically (up to three 
  12. entries per time). 
  13. TIP: This auto-type feature could be useful with wordprocessor too: 
  14. instead of passwords you can input frequently used phrases, headings,
  15. internet adresses, and so on. Airy Secrets will type them for you.

  17. SECURITY
  18. Airy secrets is a safe for you passwords: your list will be saved
  19. in an encrypted file (ATECO 3.0), which requires a password to be 
  20. loaded. But now, this is the sole password you have to remember.

  22. The codes never appear on the screen: only their descriptive 
  23. headers are displayed, and the entries are masked with asterisks
  24. (*****).

  26. HOW IT WORKS
  27. If Airy Secrets waits in backround, when you are logging to a
  28. service you need to remember and type nothing, but an hot key,
  29. and Airy Secrets will fill out the required entries for you.

  31. Like all sorts of Windows applications, this is not 100% secure
  32. against hakers attacks, hardware and operating system failures, 
  33. so you use it at your own risk.

  35. UNINSTALL PROCEDURE

  37. Choose "File" from main menu, then choose "Uninstall...", and 
  38. click [Ok] . The uninstaller will remove the installed files,
  39. eventual registry keys, and the icons from Start Menu and Desktop.

  41. MANUAL UNINSTALLATION
  42. You can also do it manually by unchecking "Launched on boot" and 
  43. "Icon..." in Preferences menu, and then by deleting airy.exe and
  44. airy.ini.
  45. The program also do not touch the registry unless you check the 
  46. "Launched on boot" option, which add/remove a key in the registry. 
  47. You can found this key in:

  51. N.B.:
  52. Airy Secrets does not install files (such as DLLs) in the Windows 
  53. folder, but icons (shortcuts) if the user want them. 
  54. This mean that you don't need to reinstall this program after you
  55. reinstall or update the operating system. This make very easy to 
  56. uninstall Airy Secrets.

  61. We attempt to make Airy Secrets as intuitive as possible,
  62. however the following tutorial will guide you step to step if you
  63. need some help:
  64.  
  65. 1- When the program starts, it ask for a password, that is used to load
  66.    the latest list of passwords/access codes (.eco file). Press [Esc] if
  67.    you want to create a new list instead. If A.S. is just installed, 
  68.    before the password it (obviously) asks which .eco file to open.
  69.    The bar over the list-box shows the loaded file. If you are filling
  70.    out a new list, the bar is empty: after you save the list, its name
  71.    will appear in the bar.

  73.    DATA ENTERING: 
  74.    - "Password" menu contains all the available functions, that are 
  75.      repeated by the tool-bar. A similar menu is accessible by 
  76.      right-clicking the list-box.
  77.      At last you can modify an item in the list with a double-click.

  79.    - You cannot copy masked entries by Ctrl+C, however F2 copies the 
  80.      first entry of the selected item to the clipboard. This is 
  81.      expecially useful if you want to merge two o three items of a 
  82.      list created by A.S. 1.x or 2.0 (in these old versions A.S. stored
  83.      login name and password as two separate items).

  85. 2- When you click or activate another application, Airy Secrets automatically
  86.    minimizes and waits background (you can notice its icon in the Windows 
  87.    tray-bar). To restore its window (e.g. in order to add or modify an item)
  88.    you have to click its tray-icon. Right click pops up a menu.

  90. 3- As you press the "hot-keys" (they are showed under the list-box), A.S. 
  91.    will prepare itself to pass the login information to the current active 
  92.    application.
  93.    N.B.: please remeber to avoid hot-keys already in use by the target 
  94.    application or you will command it besides to activate A.S.
  95.  
  96. 4- In the Preferences menu you can decide what A.S. must do when it
  97.    is activated:
  98.    A) it can show your list like a popup menu in which you have to pick
  99.       the item to paste.
  100.    B) it pastes the item that was previously selected in the list-box (if
  101.       no item is selected, the program switches to option A, and shows the
  102.       list-menu). To choose another item, before to press the hot-key, you 
  103.       may click the tray-icon, in order to make visible the window of Airy 
  104.       Secrets (its control panel).
  105.  
  106. 5- Airy Secrets "pastes" information by using the keyboard via software. 
  107.    There are two modes ("Preferences" menu):
  108.    A) DIRECT MODE: A.S. hit a key per time, until it fills out all the entries
  109.    B) CLIPBOARD MODE: It stores information in the clipboard, then hits 
  110.       Ctrl+V. After pasting is complete, the clipboard will be cleared.

  112.    We found that direct-mode sometimes works better, however you could choose
  113.    what you prefer.
